My Story

Destiny B.'s Photography

My name is Destiny Brookshier, and I’m a down-home, local photographer based in mid-Missouri. My love for photography began in 2014 when I welcomed my beautiful daughter, JoJo. Like most moms, I was constantly taking photos—but over time I realized it was more than just snapshots. I had a true passion for capturing those fleeting, precious moments.

Over the next ten years, I honed my skills behind the camera and in editing, learning more with every shoot. JoJo has been my main model from the very beginning and still is—she’s the best by far. In 2021, after being approached multiple times by people who had seen my daughter’s portraits, I finally decided to take the leap and turn my passion into something real.

I’m a mother of two, and my heart is especially drawn to children’s photography, though I also love capturing families together. Childhood passes in the blink of an eye. We only meet each version of our child once, and every day they grow a little more. Being able to help parents preserve those moments—moments that would otherwise slip away—is what fuels my work.

In addition to children and family sessions, I also have experience with landscape photography, real estate, sports, rodeo, and senior portraits. My goal is simple: to take your moments and turn them into something truly spectacular—keepsakes you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
